Acorn dreaming

What dreams are slumbering in your heart?

In this enchanted time of year, when the year and the sun are on the turn, pivoting from the quiet of winter towards a new burgeoning to come in spring…

I wanted to share with you this drawing of an acorn dreaming of a magnificent mature oak tree.

Acorn dreaming of an oak tree (NeuroSketch) by Margarita Steinberg, Oct 2024

From tiny acorns mighty trees do grow. The acorn carries the makings of a full-crowned tree inside.

Does it know that?

Is it feeling hopeful?

Or impatient?

Is it longing for reassurance that the time to unfurl its branches will come?

Does it feel strange to the acorn to imagine it would one day have branches?

The mystery of becoming feels particularly resonant in the depths of winter. So much happens out of sight, as if veiled.

What are the seeds in your heart for next year?

Wishing you a wonderfully restful and restorative festive season!
