Energy for What Matters

There are times in life when simply getting through the day takes most of what you've got.

Work gets done because it has to.
The people you love get what they need.
The essentials somehow happen.

And everything else waits.

The message you meant to answer.
The project you'd love to begin.
The invitation you'd like to accept.
The things that would make life feel a little more like your life.

Perhaps you've become very good at living within your available energy.

Perhaps you're tired of having to be.

Build Your Energy Reserves is a three-session exploration of your relationship with energy and capacity.

We'll look at where your energy goes, what replenishes you, and what might make life feel more possible.

A different way of thinking

When energy is limited, the instinct is often to manage it more carefully.

Do less.
Prioritise.
Say no.
Get through the essentials.

Sometimes that's exactly what's needed.

But there may also be value in looking at your energy differently: noticing what draws on it, what gives something back, and what you'd like to have energy for.

That's where NeuroGraphica comes in.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ
What is NeuroGraphica?
NeuroGraphicaยฎ is a tool for non-verbal thinking.

It uses simple lines and shapes to help you think where words can't yet reach.

No artistic ability required.
No drawing experience needed.

Just paper.
A marker.
Curiosity.

"I was curious: How could drawing lines help me think?

"The surprise was: you can draw about something โ€” almost as if you're writing about it, but without words getting in the way."

~ Tsveta Dimova, writer, acting coach, theatre-maker

What we'll explore

Instead of talking your way towards an answer, you work with a question through drawing.

I'll guide you through each step, so you can stay with what emerges for you.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ
Across three 2-hour sessions, we'll explore:

Where your energy goes
What draws on your reserves, including things that may be so familiar you've stopped noticing them.

What gives something back
The people, activities, environments and ways of being that replenish you โ€” and what "replenishment" actually means for you.

What you'd like to have energy for
What you'd like to make room for, even within the reality of your current capacity.

Is this for you?

Perhaps you're recovering from a difficult period.

Perhaps you've been living with an illness or health condition that has changed what you can comfortably do.

Perhaps your energy and concentration simply aren't what they used to be.

Perhaps you've become very good at deciding what has to happen โ€” and accustomed to postponing almost everything you'd like to happen.

Or perhaps you're simply curious about your own relationship with energy and capacity.

What you might discover

You may come away with:

  • a clearer picture of where your energy goes
  • a better sense of what replenishes you โ€” and what depletes you
  • some new questions worth living with
  • a visual record of what you've discovered
  • more clarity about what you'd like to make room for

And perhaps something even simpler:

a sense that even within your current limits, there may be more room than you thought.

A small, companionable group

We'll meet online in a small group, each working on our own drawing while sharing the experience of drawing alongside other people.

There will be guidance from me, space for quiet work, and opportunities to share reflections if you wish.

You won't have to explain yourself.

You can participate as much or as little as feels right.

You'll simply need a few sheets of paper and a marker or two (plus some colour pencils) to draw with.

A tool you can use whenever something gets stuck

By the end of this journey, you'll have something that stays with you.

NeuroGraphica isn't just something we do during the workshops.

It's a practical thinking tool you can return to whenever something feels tangled, overwhelming, or out of reach.

You're not just leaving with three workshops behind you.

You're leaving with a tool for getting unstuck.

One important note

NeuroGraphica is offered here as a creative and reflective practice. It isn't a medical treatment, and this workshop isn't intended to diagnose, treat or cure fatigue, Long COVID, burnout or any other health condition.

You remain the best judge of what is appropriate for your circumstances.
