A client said something recently that struck me like poetry.
“I want to feel the Summer,” he said.
And in that moment, I heard so much more than a season.
I heard a longing for ease.
For a slower rhythm.
For the quiet audacity of enjoyment.
Feel the Summer — not achieve it, not plan it, not squeeze it in.
Just… feel it. Let it happen to you. Let it touch your skin.
Summer doesn’t demand. It offers.
And yet receiving can be the hardest thing.
It reminded me of something Alan Watts once said — about how we live as if life is always just ahead of us.
Straining toward the next step. The breakthrough. The resolution.
And how, all along, we never really arrive.
Because we were never meant to arrive.
There’s no “there.”
There’s just now.
There’s just this.
So this week, I’m wondering…
What would it mean to stop striving?
To let yourself receive something already here?
To breathe a little more deeply — and feel the Summer?

With warmth,
Margarita
