“I didn’t expect to feel so much just drawing a line”
A way re-make your world
I began to draw NeuroGraphica at the suggestion of a friend.
It felt like stepping into a new world, shimmering alive with possibilities and a larger perspective.
NeuroGraphica is a method for using graphic art (aka drawing) for (self-)coaching.
It is a way to think about your inner world - with its mental, emotional, social and spiritual aspects - through drawing a version of it on paper. The drawing uses a range of shapes and figures, such as networks, circles and stars (among others). The colours and the spatial arrangement in the emerging drawing represent back to you your thoughts and current issues, allowing you to reflect on them and evolve them further.
Your finished NeuroGraphica drawing is like a visual page from your private personal diary.
Pretty soon, I’d packed away watercolours.
Drawing inner landscapes felt way more fascinating!
“Isn’t it wonderful to have a way to express yourself?” estimated a colleague.
I found myself shaking my head No: “express” didn’t begin to describe it!
Not express: design, transform, summon felt closer to it.
A smattering of magic.

I’ve grown accustomed to sit down with a marker every time words can’t reach what I need.
This happens often: half the human brain and the entire nervous system don’t get words.
The right brain flows with the current of images.

I’ve been learning to reach parts of me silent and mute in words but redolent with colours.
Parts that contain the seeds of gifts my word-thinking left brain can’t even guess at.
Drawing has become a way to gift myself energy, inspiration, courage.
I find things as I draw - things I didn’t think to find.

This surprise is shared by others: “I didn’t expect to feel so much just drawing a line” many comment at their first go.
In a world of ever more straight lines + machine-driven algorithms, NeuroGraphica is a way to find a fresh path for yourself: by feel, by touch, by heart.

I’m thinking of running a workshop on NeuroGraphica.
Drop me a quick reply if that’s interesting to you, and let me know what you’d like that experience to be like.
Not sure what comes next?
Sometimes the first step is just saying this matters.
A Nesting Call is a gentle conversation to meet you where you are — no fixing, no rushing, just deep listening and space to notice what wants to unfold.
