Success you don't want to repeat?
You've done it before. You know you can succeed.
Perhaps that's precisely the problem.
Because once you've found something that works, it is surprisingly easy to turn it into a rule:
This is how I do things.
This is what I'm good at.
This is what people expect from me.
This is what worked last time.
And before you know it, yesterday's success has become tomorrow's obligation.
It can feel odd when you've done something before, which worked (at least up to a point), but you don't want to do the same thing again.
What if success isn't a template?
One of the peculiar things about success is that it can make us less free.
A failure tells you: try something else.
A success can whisper: do that again.
So you repeat the formula.
Same role.
Same way of working.
Same version of yourself.
The trouble is that what worked then may not be what you want to happen next.
A past success is evidence. It isn't an instruction.
When the old way of winning starts to feel like a cage
Fear of Success is for you if you recognise any of these:
- You've achieved things you're genuinely proud of โ but you don't want to build your next chapter by copying the last one.
- You find yourself hesitating just when something promising is beginning to take shape.
- Part of you wants to go further. Another part keeps applying the brakes.
- You have a successful identity that fits rather well โ and you're beginning to wonder whether it still fits you.
- You can see what you're capable of, but you're not sure you want the life that comes with doing more of it.
- You suspect that the next step requires not greater effort, but greater freedom.
Sometimes the question isn't: "How do I succeed again?"
It's: "What kind of success actually beckons now?"
"What kind of success actually beckons now?"
A different way to look at the problem
We tend to think of success as something we should build on.
And often we should.
But sometimes a previous success contains a hidden cost.
It may have taught you: I am good at this.
Which inadvertently becomes: I am this.
And then: This is what I must continue to be.
That's where things get interesting.
Because becoming more yourself doesn't always mean becoming a bigger, better version of the person who succeeded last time.
Sometimes it means giving yourself permission to change the recipe.

Why NeuroGraphica?
NeuroGraphica gives us a way to explore this without having to explain everything to death.
We work with lines, shapes, connections and visual elements to give something that may be difficult to think about directly a form we can see and work with.
This matters because the question isn't simply intellectual.
You may already know, perfectly well, that you don't have to repeat the past.
Knowing it is one thing. Feeling that it is genuinely possible is another.
The drawing gives us something to look at. Something to add to. Something to change. And, importantly, something that remains yours.
There isn't a correct picture to produce.
There isn't a particular future you are supposed to arrive at.
We are making space for you to discover what your next move might be.

"I was curious: How could drawing lines help me think?
"The surprise was: you can draw about something โ almost as if you're writing about it, but without words getting in the way."
~ Tsveta Dimova, writer, acting coach, theatre-maker
NeuroGraphicaยฎ is a tool for non-verbal thinking.
It uses simple lines and shapes to help you think where words can't yet reach.
No artistic ability required.
No drawing experience needed.
Just paper.
A marker.
Curiosity.

What we'll explore together
Over three 2-hour sessions, we'll use NeuroGraphica to explore your relationship with success โ including the parts that don't usually make it onto the success story.
Workshop 1
Loosening the Ick
Loosen the old associations around selling and make room for a different possibility.
Workshop 2
Draw Beautiful Selling
Create a new picture of selling that feels true to you โ and that you can feel at home with.
Workshop 3
Selling Your Way
Connect your new picture to your business and discover what beautiful selling can look like in practice.
What you'll leave with
Ideally, you'll leave with more than a drawing.
You'll leave with a different relationship to your own history.
You may see more clearly:
- which parts of your previous success are worth carrying forward;
- which habits have unwittingly become constraints;
- where you've been treating an old answer as a permanent one;
- what you want your next chapter to be about;
- and where you might give yourself permission to experiment.
And you'll have something practical to continue using:
a way of thinking visually about a situation when thinking about it in words has taken you as far as it can.
Your drawing becomes a record of the exploration โ and a possible starting point for the next one.
"Months later, I still reach for this when I need it."
A little about Margarita
I've spent much of my working life helping people find a way forward when the obvious way forward isn't quite right.
My work draws on coaching, Psychosynthesis psychology, embodied learning and NeuroGraphica, alongside a wide-ranging curiosity about how human beings learn, change and make meaning.
I don't see my role as standing above you with the answer.
I'm more interested in being a skilled companion: helping you notice what you already know, discover what you don't yet know, and find ways to make your own possibilities more tangible.
The CoQueening Club
CoQueening Club is a growing collection of NeuroGraphica workshops for people who are ready to take themselves seriously without taking themselves too seriously.
These are spaces for exploring the knots, wishes, contradictions and possibilities that come with being a human being who is still becoming.
Deep work. Light touch. A bit of beauty. A bit of mischief.
And always room for your own sovereignty.
I'm developing Fear of Success as part of the CoQueening Club programme and am currently gathering expressions of interest for a pilot group.
If this speaks to something you're living through โ particularly that strange feeling of "Yes, I know I can do it. I'm just not sure I want to do it that way again" โ I'd love to hear from you.
Join the waiting list below, and I'll let you know when the first workshop is ready.
No commitment beyond that.
One last thought
You are allowed to be successful at something...
and then become someone else.
Your past self is allowed to have been brilliant.
You don't have to keep being her.
