Your Best Future

Do you feel you belong in the future life you want?

If a picture of the future you want just won’t come together, that doesn’t mean that future is impossible.

The piece that’s missing from the picture may be you.

I talk with people about the life they long to live. When they bump into a gap they can’t name, sometimes it’s this. That the bit they aren’t seeing is them in that future.

The piece that’s missing from the picture may be you.

This happens because your eyes look outward. As you mentally scan your imagined best-case future, your mind’s eye will take in everything, down to the finest detail perhaps… leaving only you out.

If that’s happening, chances are you’re in your own blind spot.

Here’s how you can overcome this.

All the details you want to be surrounded by - they’re all meant to create an experience inside. What experience are you trying to create for yourself?

As you take yourself on a tour of the Better Life you’re building, make sure to notice the you who lives inside that reality. And how that you gets to feel.

How does the Better Life You feel waking up?

What lets you know that it’s going to be the kind of day you’ve been wishing for?

I know you’re likely reading this Newsletter on-the-go, in-between other moments.

And I know that it can take a special, delicate kind of space to touch the gossamer thread of your dream.

“You make me feel like my dream is not a joke” someone said to me recently.

I know how tricky it can be to nurture a dream. It can take tremendous daring. And deft and delicate support.

May your dream find the space to grow, first the space in you and then the space around you, till it becomes your new Better Life.
