I occasionally host small, in-person workshops exploring NeuroGraphica — a method that uses simple lines and shapes to help untangle thoughts and open up new ways of seeing.
This particular workshop in Brighton will be a little different.
Alongside the session itself, it will also form the heart of a short documentary film I’m currently creating — capturing what happens when people encounter this process for the first time.
The workshop
This is a gentle, beginner-friendly introduction to NeuroGraphica.
You don’t need any drawing experience.
We’ll be working with simple lines and shapes, exploring a way of using pen and paper that can help untangle thoughts, shift perspective, and open up new ways of seeing.
As with all my workshops, the emphasis is not on producing a result, but on being in the process.
If you’re new to NeuroGraphica, you can read more on the NeuroGraphica method and approach.
In essence, it’s a way of thinking and feeling through the page — where the hand becomes part of how we make sense of things, rather than just illustrate them.
If you’d like to explore this in a more guided way, the Intro to NeuroGraphica online course offers a gentle starting point.
The film
Alongside the workshop, there will be a small film crew present.
They’ll be capturing moments of the experience — not in a staged or performative way, but as a thoughtful observation of what naturally unfolds when people encounter this process for the first time.
The intention of the film is not to explain NeuroGraphica, but to offer a glimpse into what it feels like from the inside.
Who this is for
This workshop is for you if you feel curious about:
– trying something new
– exploring your inner landscape in a different way
– stepping outside of your usual ways of thinking
And if you’re open to being filmed as part of that experience.
